After your house, your electric car is often the second largest value asset you own. Here at Spaldwick Electrical, we believe that your charge point should be fitted by a qualified electrician to the highest of standards, unfortunately this is not standard pratice. A qualified electrician can judge the safest way to install your EV charge point and will fit it in the most sympathetic way to your property and wishes.
Our electrician’s are full time employees of Spaldwick Electrical, we do not subcontract our electric vehicle charge point installations, so you can be assured of the full quality installation and support that Spaldwick Electrical is known for.
What is a standard installation?
Standard Installation Definition
- A maximum run of 10 meters of cable from charging point to the consumer unit
- All cables will be clipped direct
- No groundwork will be undertaken
- The property earthing arrangement must comply with the current regulations
- The charging unit must be installed on the property and be able to use its earthing arrangement
- The current consumer unit can support the new charger including a spare 32A breaker/A type RCBO or RCD
- Non standard installs can be quoted for seperately
Unlike some companies we are quite happy to quote or estimate on a non standard installation, however we quote a standard installation to give you an indication of pricing.
