Absolutely, quoting from a previous customer you don’t need pigeon proofing until you need it, and at that point when the pigeons are having a party every evening and inviting their mates, you really wish it was fitted with the panels.
Recently we were called to a local college where a large number of pigeons had got under their panels and could get out, they had died, and the associated maggots then found their way under the tiles, through the roof and into the classroom.
We had to fit scaffolding to gain safe access and removed a number of the solar panels, we removed 14 bodies !
We then fitted proper pigeon proofing over the top of the failing finger type previously fitted. Using the black metal mesh, there is no way the pesky birds will get back under.
